Baltic Cup Quarter Mile Regulations

The final text of these regulations shall be this English version which will be used should any dispute arise as to their interpretation.

1. GENERAL REGULATIONS

1.1 Vehicle has to be legal with the Road Code and registered.
1.2 Driver is obliged to wear a helmet before start.
1.3 Any movable items are prohibited inside the vehicle.
1.4 Seat belts must be fastened.
1.5 All windows have to be closed.
1.6 Driver cannot wear combustible clothes, cotton materials are recomended.
1.7 Participant takes part in the event at his own risk.
1.8 Only the driver is allowed be inside the vehicle during the race.
1.9 Vehicle has to be equipped with efficient braking and steering systems.
1.10 Driver is obliged to have a valid driving licence issued by the proper authorities in his country. Provisional and temporary driving licences are not respected.
1.11 Driver is obliged to have a valid motorsport licence issued by the proper organisation in his country.

2. CLASSES AND RULES

2.1 FWD - vehicles with front wheel drive, without power adder (N/A)
2.2 RWD - vehicles with rear wheel drive, without power adder (N/A), maximum 6 cylinders
2.3 V8 - vehicles with rear wheel drive, minimum 8 cylinders with or without power adder (N/A)
2.4 FWD Turbo - vehicles with front wheel drive with power adder
2.5 RWD Turbo - vehicles with rear wheel drive with power adder
2.6 AWD Turbo - vehicles with all wheel drive with or without power adder
2.7 King of Baltic Cup - 16 fastest participants from classes 2.1-2.6 are allowed to start in this class, knock-out system will be used to determine the winner

2.8 Power adder means supercharger (compressor), nitrous, single or twin turbo or any number and combination of these elements.
2.9 Competitions in classes 2.1-2.6 will consist of qualifying sessions, semifinals and finals.
2.10 All vehicles reaching the race elapsed time below 10.5 seconds have to be equipped with a safety cage or a roll bar. Moreover, vehicles reaching the time below 9.5 seconds have to be equipped with fire extinguishing systems.
2.11 Applications will be gathered through internet by website forms. Beggining date of application process and amount of qualifying session races will be set by the organizers.

2.A ALLOWED

1. plastic panes
2. lightweight interior elements or removed interior elements
3. plastic body parts or body parts made of materials causing reduction of total vehicle weight
4. replacement fender flares
5. modified wheel drive, engine, gearbox and other modifications not dangerous for driver
6. body modifications if overall vehicle construction maintained

Tires have to be treaded and admitted for driving on public roads in EU or USA. During the technical inspection tires should be mounted. Width of tire is not limited by regulations. Chosen tires should not be an obstruction for efficient steering.

2.B PROHIBITED

1. fuel tank placed in the same space as driver
2. participating with two cars in one class

3. CLASSIFICATION

3.1 The drivers who won in their classes places I-VIII receive the following number of points:

I place - 10 points,
II place - 8 points,
III place - 6 points,
IV place - 5 points,
V place - 4 points,
VI place - 3 points,
VII place - 2 points,
VIII place - 1 point.

3.2 The winner of the Baltic Cup for the starting class is the driver with the highest number of points in this class. In case of equal number of points among several drivers, the higher place will be awarded to the driver with higher position in the first round. Results will be approved by common umpire team which is responsible for all decisions regarding the races.
3.3 All races will be classified by the ET (elapsed time).
